What happens after a recording is complete?
Once you complete recording your 10 question pack, the audio files will be processed and uploaded to your secure profile on MeetJane.io and an email will be sent to those who are connected to their account, letting them know a new recording has been logged. This may happen several weeks after your phone interview. Please note, your stories will be time-delayed and delivered to you in the weeks that follow after your first story is sent to you. Rest assured we will send all of your stories to you and your family.
Can I choose when my call are set and when?
Yes! During sign up, you will be able to pick a day and time based on our biographers availability. You may also reschedule your interview should you need to by simply clicking on the appropriate link in the scheduling email you would have received from MeetJane.
Can I know questions ahead of time before each call so I can think about answers?
You may always review any of our question sets on our website by visiting the link HERE. Additionally, we will be sending you an email ahead of your interview to ensure you know the questions. We encourage you to outline the key moments in your stories you wish to tell during your interview. Rich details about who was there, how you felt, and what was important to you about each question will simply lead to better stories!
What are Meet Jane phone calls like?
A Meet Jane biographer will call you at your scheduled date and time, either via phone or zoom. These calls will all be recorded by the biographer. Our Meet Jane biographers are trained to simply ask the questions from your question pack but ensure as you tell your stories that key details and common follow up questions are asked– as good biographers do! These calls run about 30-45 minutes in length, depending on how much detail you go into. We encourage you to keep your stories to around 3-5 minutes in length to be focused on the most relevant and important details.
I purchased this as a gift for someone else. How are they notified of my purchase?
When you purchase a gift for someone else you will be asked for a date for the person to be notified via email about the gift. They will receive an email with instructions on how to select a question pack as well as how to schedule their first interview. If you have any questions, please email hello@meetjane.io.
How do I choose the questions being asked?
You can access all of our available question packs by visiting the question page here. You may change your desired question pack up until the day of your scheduled phone interview. Note that once you’ve been interviewed you cannot change the question packs.
What happens if my loved one misses the call?
We understand that circumstances may prevent a scheduled call to happen, that’s okay, our biographers will work with you to reschedule your interview or you may e-mail hello@meetjane.io to work with your biographer to schedule a new call time.
Is there a time limit for phone calls?
You should expect each set of 10 questions to take around 30-45 minutes to complete. While there is no official time limit, we encourage each question to have a short, concise several minute story associated with it.
How much does each call cost?
Each call will have our biographers asking up to 10 questions (some questions may not be relevant to you). Each set of 10 questions costs $99.
Does Meet Jane support different languages?
At current we are only performing our calls in English – we do plan to expand to other languages in the future.
What is your return policy?
If for any reason you’re not thrilled with your Meet Jane purchase, we offer full refunds prior to your interview. Once interviews are completed they can not be returned or exchanged. Should you want to request a refund, please contact us.
